Council Meetings
All attendees are welcome to visit and observe Council at work at any of these meetings. The Council is the governing body of ALA and delegates to the divisions of the association authority to plan and carry out programs and activities with policy established by Council.
Council/Executive Board/Membership Information Session
This informational session allows attendees to hear first-hand updates from ALA leaders, with the opportunity to engage in real time with ALA leadership. You will receive reports from the President, President-Elect, Executive Director, Treasurer, and Endowment Trustees at this meeting.
ALA Allied Professional Association (ALA-APA) Board of Directors
The ALA Allied Professional Association is a nonprofit organization for the purpose of promoting the mutual professional interests of librarians and other library workers. The ALA-APA is a companion organization to the American Library Association (ALA), an educational association to promote library service and librarianship. The ALA Executive Board also serves as the ALA-APA Board of Directors. All attendees are welcome to observe this board meeting.
ALA Executive Board Meetings
Executive Board Meetings, other than closed sessions, are open to all attendees to observe. It is a chance to learn more about the governance of ALA and to observe your elected member leaders at work.
