Jesse Tyler Ferguson & Julie Tanous

Jesse Tyler Ferguson is an award-winning actor, best known for his lead role in the TV sitcom, Modern Family.  He has received five consecutive Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and four SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. In addition to his celebrated work in television, he has performed many times on Broadway. If you follow him on Instagram, you know that he also has a passion for cooking and entertaining. Now a proud father, he lives in Los Angeles with his husband, Justin Mikita, and their baby son, Beckett.

Julie Tanous is a sought-after, culinary school-trained recipe developer and food writer. Her recipes have been featured in Food & Wine magazine, Food & Wine's annual cookbook, Bake from Scratch, Taste of the South, People magazine, LA Weekly, and InStyle. Born and raised in Alabama, Tanous now lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two children, and their French bulldog.

Soon after meeting, Ferguson and Tanous became best friends and decided to create a food and lifestyle blog, Julie & Jesse's Recipes. Their new cookbook, Food Between Friends, available March 2021, gave them an opportunity to bring their blog to the masses, cooking up all of the delightful dishes they want to eat and focusing on the joys of food and friendship. Drawing inspiration from the regional foods of the Southwest and South they grew up with, they seamlessly merge west coast style with fun and funky recipes.  Delicious recipes include Hatch Green Chile Mac and Cheese; Baked Eggs in Tomatoes and Grits; Carne Asada and Shishito Skewers; and so many more.
